HI, I’M LAUREN
I’m a family, maternity, and newborn photographer based in Plano and serving the families of Dallas-Fort Worth.
Think of me as your friend with a camera. I’m committed to capturing adventures, big personalities, and genuine love among families at every stage of the journey. Just know that I don’t do things in halves. If we make this a thing, I’m all in — down for the ride, up for a dance, and here for the real stuff.
When I’m not traversing Dallas-Fort Worth for the absolute best outdoor locations, I’m probably making a mess in my kitchen trying out a new recipe or snuggling on the couch with my dog, Leo. I’m a lover of long road trips, funky coffee shops, personal growth, and just making the most out of this lifetime. I can’t wait to meet you and your amazing family!

I’m not a big “rules” person, although one philosophy is yet to lead me astray: at your family photoshoot, it’s best to go in with zero expectations. The wind, the rain, the laughter — whatever unfolds — embrace it all. No two sessions are ever the same, and that’s the whole point. It’s the little quirks, idiosyncrasies, and distinct personalities of your family that will nurture beautiful, authentic family photos — wrinkles, tears, joyous abandon, and all. Our goal isn’t to model after the ultra-polished families you see on your feed, but to tell your unique story as it shows up on the day of the shoot. Throw your checklist out the window and know that magic will naturally unfold. When it does, I’ll be there to capture it.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
01What is the turnaround time for family portraits?
Your final family portrait gallery will be available 1-2 weeks after the session date. However, I love to send sneak peaks of the family photoshoot gallery directly and on social media.
02How far in advance should I schedule a family portrait session?
It depends on the season, but typically it’s best to schedule your family portrait session 2-8 weeks in advance of your ideal session date.
03What time of day are the family photoshoots scheduled?
Outdoor family photo sessions are scheduled in the 1-2 hours before sunset or just after sunrise. Of course, studio and in-home family sessions can be scheduled any time of day.
04Can I include my dog in my family photos?
Dogs are more than welcome to join us for your family photoshoot. Just give me a heads up during booking so we can choose a dog-friendly location.
05What should I wear to a family photoshoot?
What you wear to your family session is, ultimately, completely up to you. Wear what makes you feel good, confident, and comfortable. With that being said, as a Dallas family photographer, I recommend families decide on a simple color palette. Whites, neutrals, and soft solid colors will look elegant in any location.
